Introduction
PDFTranslate.org provides online PDF translation with standard text translation and OCR scan translation modes. This Privacy Policy explains what information we use to provide the service.
Information We Process
We may process account information such as your email address, authentication status, credit balance, payments, and task history.
When you use the PDF translator, we may process uploaded PDF files, public HTTPS PDF links you submit, selected languages, translation mode, task status, generated output files, logs needed to operate the job, and download delivery information.
We may also process basic usage, device, browser, and security information needed to operate, protect, and improve the service.
How We Use Information
We use information to create and manage translation tasks, estimate and deduct credits, deliver translated files, provide account access, process payments, troubleshoot errors, prevent abuse, and comply with applicable legal obligations.
File Handling
Uploaded files and PDF links are used for upload, task status, translation processing, and download delivery. Standard text translation is intended for selectable-text PDFs. OCR scan translation is intended for scanned PDFs or image-only documents.
For uploaded PDFs, the source file may be temporarily stored while a translation task is active. After a task completes successfully, the source PDF is deleted from our R2 storage. If a task fails, the source PDF may be retained temporarily so the task can be retried or investigated.
Translated PDF files are cached in our R2 storage for download delivery for up to 24 hours, unless you delete them earlier from your Activity page. After a translated file is deleted or expires, it is no longer available for download from PDFTranslate.org.
Payments
Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers. We do not store full payment card details on PDFTranslate.org servers.
No Certification Claim
PDFTranslate.org does not claim formal security or privacy certification unless a real certification is published by us.
